Process

How Audio Trimming Works

01

Upload Your File

Drop any audio file — MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, or FLAC. The file is decoded locally using the Web Audio API. Nothing is sent to any server.

02

Set Start & End Time

Enter start and end times in seconds. The live clip length display updates as you type, so you always know the exact duration of your clip.

03

Preview & Download

See the trimmed waveform, listen to the preview, and download your clip as a high-quality WAV file — ready to use anywhere.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my audio uploaded to a server?
No. Your audio file is never sent anywhere. It's read and processed entirely within your browser. We have no access to your files.
What audio formats can I trim?
You can upload any format your browser supports — typically MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, FLAC, AIFF, AAC, and WebM. The trimmed output is always a WAV file (16-bit PCM).
How precise is the trimming?
Trimming is sample-accurate. You can enter decimal seconds (e.g., 1.5 for 1.5 seconds). The tool calculates the exact sample offset at your file's native sample rate.
What is the maximum file size?
There's no server-side limit. The practical limit is your browser's available RAM. Most modern devices can handle files up to a few hundred megabytes without issues.
Can I trim multiple clips from one file?
Currently each trim produces one clip. To extract multiple segments, simply reload the tool and repeat the process for each desired section.
